WHAT IS VALUESADVISOR?
aluesAdvisor is a curated, intuitive matchmaking platform that helps individual investors, foundations, family offices, and endowment managers identify investment advisors who align with their values.
It supports a range of approaches—from total portfolio activation to divest-invest strategies and active ownership—and offers a useful tool for benchmarking existing advisor relationships. There’s no cost or obligation to use the platform, and it is not pay-to-play; all advisors are vetted and client-recommended.
HOW ARE THE ADVISORS VETTED
To be eligible for the ValuesAdvisor platform, advisors must:
- Be recommended by an investor member of a ValuesAdvisor Partner.
- Have approximately 25% or more of assets under management be values aligned.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience offering values aligned investment services.
Do I need a FINANCIAL ADVISOR?
Financial Advisors are hired to manage your "investable assets" (i.e. cash, money market accounts, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, retirement accounts, and trusts), to help you reach your long and short-term financial and impact goals. Typically, you need approximately $250,000 in investable assets but it can be advisable to work with one if you experience a major life transition. The advisors on the ValuesAdvisor platform have the range of minimum account size requirements.
